Based in Michigan, jbd Property Management is a national company specializing in a diversified portfolio of real estate that includes medical, office, industrial and retail markets. Since its founding in 1996, the firm has consistently created record profits for our partners and investors.
For nearly 27 years, jbd Property Management has been providing investors and commercial tenants with premium real estate investment opportunities and property management services. We are a hands-on firm offering a comprehensive set of expertise in land acquisition, financing, competitive bidding and leasing functionality. We oversee all architectural, engineering, design, and construction, as wells as property management responsibilities.

Weyhill Building
The Rehabilitation of the Weyhill Building
Grand Rapids, Michigan
In late 2014, we purchased the Weyhill Building from Calvin College, a 6-story 80,000 square foot suburban office building that was 75% occupied. The Property was outdated with 100% of the rent roll turning in the first 12 months of ownership.
Like many properties built in the 1980’s, virtually no upgrades were made by previous ownership. With this in mind, our design team created an avant-garde, artsy, renovation that was reflective of the Grand Rapids area. Eighteen months later, the improvements restored the building to a Class A status and new tenants moved in and existing tenant leases were renewed, which resulted in the property being close to 100% occupied.
Today, the Weyhill Building has become one of one of our staple properties. Tenants include Wells Fargo, Secrest Wardle, Lynch, Hampton, Verizon Wireless and Sherwin Williams.

Grand Rapids Corporate Center

In May of 2015, we acquired the Grand Rapids Corporate Center, a 160,000 square feet complex consisting of four light industrial buildings, which housed 41 suites and was 41 years old. At the time of acquisition, the complex was 35% occupied and needed substantial rehabilitation and repositioning in the marketplace.
Upon taking possession of the asset, we immediately implemented our business plan to completely restore the Property. Through our cost management strategy, we completed the improvements under budget and in less than 18 months. This quick turnaround brought the property to 100% occupancy and positioned it to be sold.
Early in 2017, the property was was sold it to a local investor.
